Church official slated for sentencing on pornography charges
Dickinson, New Mexico - A former Dickinson business man is slated to be sentenced today to possessing child pornography.
Forty-four-year-old David Fisher of Albuquerque is scheduled to appear in federal court in Bismarck this morning.
He pleaded guilty in April to two counts of sexual exploitation of minors, and one count each of receipt and possession of material involving the sexual exploitation of minors.
He had earlier pleaded innocent to the charges.
Fisher is the former president and chief operating officer of Dickinson-based Fisher Industries. He also was the chairman of the Dickinson United Methodist Church's administrative council.
Authorities say he had some computer files and pictures of a 10-year-old girl whom Fisher had hired to help with office chores at his Dickinson business. Authorities say Fisher and the girl posed and took pictures of each other at his office using a digital camera.
