McAlester Prison Guard Arrested
McAlester, Oklahoma - While he was expected to uphold the law in a Pittsburgh County prison, a prison guard is charged with drug and weapon possession.
Christopher James Lyons was arrested and charged with bringing contraband into a penal institution while possessing a controlled substance. Lyons worked at the Jackie Brannon correctional facility in McAlester, Oklahoma. Authorities say he had methamphetamine and a knife while on duty.
Lyons pleaded not guilty at an initial court appearance and was freed on $2,500 bail.
