Minister charged in two counties
MASSILLON, Ohil A Ravenna minister charged with trying to proposition young girls on the Internet waived his preliminary hearing Friday on two counts of importuning, a felony.
His case was bound over to the Stark County grand jury.
Nelson Lynn Wright, 42, a minister at the Lighthouse Community Chapel on state Route 59, will also be transferred to Medina County, where he faces the same charge.
Wright, of 763 E. Highland Ave., allegedly attempted to arrange sexual encounters with two young girls while chatting with them online. Both ``girls'' actually were undercover law enforcement officials.
Judge Edward J. Elum agreed to release Wright on a $50,000 personal recognizance bond, but he first will be extradited to Medina County.
Wright's wife and parents attended his court appearance Friday but declined comment.
