Mormon missionary avoids jail in Las Vegas fondling case
And from YH:
LAS VEGAS, Nev. - A 23-year-old former Mormon missionary has been sentenced to five years' probation after being accused of fondling two girls at a church in Las Vegas.
John Misseldine won't have to serve jail time, and charges will be dropped if he completes probation.
Misseldine's from Little Rock, Arkansas. He pleaded the equivalent of no contest in August to charges of coercion and attempted lewdness with a child under 14.
The sentence yesterday (Monday) in Clark County District Court angered family members of the two girls -- who were ages four and seven when they accused Misseldine of fondling them in 2003.
Family members say Misseldine is getting off light.
But they still have a civil lawsuit against Misseldine and the church.
